I've been happily lurking out here reading everyone's postings for a while and figured it was time to introduce myself. My name is Terri Willard and I work as a project manager at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in Winnipeg, Canada.

Part of my work over the last year has included coordinating the input of young people (age 16-30) to the Global Knowledge Partnership. Through that work, I've had the opportunity to meet many people now invovled with TIG (including Jennifer, Lena, and Gerald in KL; Shalala in Brussels this spring).

Over the next few months, I will be periodically posting updates/discussion threads re: youth involvement in bridging the digital divide. Mostly, I'm throwing these out there for your discussion and thoughts on action. My sense is that TIG, GYAN, Nation1, and Ynternet are some of the best positioned youth-led organizations to take the lead on monitoring DOT Force activities and pushing for greater youth inclusion in program planning and implementation. If people are interested in that, I'd be more than happy to use the TIG platform to share information and to provide you with whatever background you need to develop strategies.
